Goldfields Healthcare

Patients & Families

Information for families and caregivers of admitted patients.

Note: All information on this page applies to patients admitted through the referral-based admission process. Goldfields Healthcare is an inpatient facility. Admission requires a referral from a registered GP or specialist. The hospital does not accept self-referred or walk-in patients.

The Inpatient Environment

Patients admitted to Goldfields Healthcare are cared for within a structured inpatient environment. The facility operates 24 hours a day with nursing staff present at all times. Clinical oversight is provided by a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.

Patients participate in a structured daily programme during their admission. Individual clinical consultations are arranged by the treating team when clinically indicated and are not scheduled on request by patients or families.

Discharge planning is a clinical process undertaken by the treating team in collaboration with the patient and, where appropriate, the family. Length of stay is determined by clinical progress and discharge criteria.
